About legitWeather
A weather app for iOS and Android.
legitWeather is a weather app I built for iOS and Android. It covers current conditions and forecasts, adds a weather map, and lets you save as many locations as you like. This page runs through the app and its main features. Download links live in the site navigation and on the home page.
Daily and hourly forecasts
legitWeather shows forecasts two ways. The hourly view lays out what to expect across the hours of the day, which is handy when you're planning something for this afternoon or tonight. The daily view stretches over the days ahead, which is better for planning further out. Between the two, you get both a near-term and a longer-term read on the weather.
Weather map
The app also includes a map view that shows weather information geographically. A map makes it easy to see how conditions vary across an area and where weather patterns sit relative to your location. It's a common feature in weather apps for good reason — some things are just hard to get across with numbers and text alone.
Saved locations
legitWeather lets you save multiple locations, so you can check several places without typing each one in every time. People tend to save the spots they care about — a home city, a workplace, somewhere they're traveling to, or anywhere they just like to keep an eye on. It's a quick way to pull up the forecast for each saved place.
Availability
legitWeather is on two mobile platforms. The iOS version comes from the Apple App Store, and the Android version from the Google Play Store, so it works across a wide range of phones and tablets. Current links for both are kept in the navigation menu and on the home page.
Summary
In short, legitWeather is a weather app for iOS and Android with daily and hourly forecasts, a weather map, and saved locations. You'll find current download links in the site navigation and on the home page.
